Each year, Mega Rock awards the Bruce A. McMurray Memorial Scholarship. The $500 prize is given to a high school senior who plans to attend college and major in communication.

Mega Rock offers tours to clubs and organizations for career exploration and education.

Mega Rock, stations WMKX-FM and WJNG-FM, achieved broad and inclusive outreach covering the time

period beginning April 1^st, 2012 to and including March 31^st, 2013.

In addition to contacting organizations that assist job seekers about job openings, such as the

Clarion, DuBois, Elk and Jefferson County CareerLinks, WMKX and WJNG has advertised openings in newspapers in an effort to reach qualified candidates from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Penn State University.

Our outreach efforts also include posting job openings on websites operated by the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters and National Association of Broadcasters.

Furthermore, WMKX and WJNG have participating in job shadowing programs offered at high schools and annually awards the Bruce A. McMurray Memorial Scholarship.
